ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Meet María José

I am a bridge between the image we project and the truth we inhabit.

As a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, Personal Stylist, and Somatic Practitioner, I help people drop the “I’m fine” mask and return to themselves. My work is for anyone who appears composed and successful on the outside but feels disconnected, exhausted, or never enough on the inside.

From the Outside In

For many years, I tried to navigate life from the outside in. Style, image, and performance became my tools to feel safe, capable, and “enough.” I worked hard to appear composed, to meet expectations, and to hide the parts of me that felt messy, vulnerable, or unworthy.

I put my needs second. I over-performed. I struggled with an eating disorder. I thought that if I curated my exterior perfectly, I could manage the inner turmoil.

It worked—for a while. Until it didn’t.

The Turning Point

When my mother passed, nothing I had built on the outside could support me. The grief was so immense that all the “quick fixes,” positive thinking, and performance strategies failed. I was carrying a weight my mind couldn’t process. My body held the tension, my heart carried the loss, and I felt completely disconnected from myself.

The shift didn’t come from trying harder—it came from softening. I realized I had been a stranger to my own body, constantly managing it instead of listening to it.

Breathwork became my lifeline. Through pranayama and somatic practices, I began to release the physical grip of grief. The simple act of breathing deeply showed me a path back to my body, back to presence, and back to myself. This is why breathwork is at the core of my work—and why I am currently training in Circular Connected Breathwork (CCB) to help others access this same liberation.

Through the study of Body Image, breathwork, and Kundalini Yoga, I discovered that the nervous system needs safety first before it can heal. Breath became the bridge between my mind and body, allowing grief, tension, and stuck energy to move. Self-compassion became the only tool that could meet my pain without judgment.

Over time, I realized that true transformation comes from the inside out. Style, environment, and daily habits only support change when the body and nervous system feel safe, present, and embodied.
